New Season has begun!!!

With well over 200 students enrolled the new season has started with a lot of excitement.   SFYS is so proud to announce that several alumni are now working with us, teaching, coaching, sponsoring chairs and spreading the word that classical music is still alive and well at the South Florida Youth Symphony.
There are always openings for advanced players in low brass, percussion  and double reeds.  Let us know if you find an interested musician  under the age of 21.

WE have also started an Outreach music class in cooperation with the National "South Florida After School All Stars".  our program is at West View Middle school two days a week  and is off to a raging start with 25 students on violin, viola, flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, trombone  and tuba. This program is free to the students because of a generous grant received from a local Family Foundation interested in preserving and strengtheneing the arts for our kids now and in the future.
