The new season for the classes and orchestras of the South Florida Youth Symphony has begun with great excitement from students and families. The budget "crunch" has hit us all, and the non-profit groups like the youth symphony are hit very hard. The wonderful board of trustees of the youth symphny are working diligently to secure funds, fundraising events, concert venues that are reasonably priced, outings, subscribers to the program guide and in-kind sponsors for needed supplies , music and instruments. Thank yous go out to all that have helped. YOU can also help in a very
big way. ......If every one of our subscribers would donate an extra $5 to the program , there would be no need to guess at possible funding for concert venues, or rehearsal space.
Alumni, sponsor an orchestra "Chair". This could be the chair you personally occupied while at the Symphony, or designate another, or optional. This is a great way to give back to the program.
